Recently oil spills have been observed along the coastline of Israel. Israel’s environmental protection minister blamed Iran for “environmental terrorism”, blaming Iran for it. However, Iran has denied the allegations.

हाल ही में इज़राइल के समुद्री तट के पास तेल फैलाव देखने को मिला है। इज़राइल के पर्यावरण संरक्षण मंत्री ने ईरान को इसके लिए जिम्मेदार ठहराते हुए ईरान पर “पर्यावरण आतंकवाद” का आरोप लगाया है। हालाँकि ईरान ने आरोपों का खंडन किया है।
मुख्य विवादित विषय ईरान द्वारा पर्यावरण आतंकवाद
- पिछले कुछ समय से कई इजरायली कार्यकर्ता समुद्र के किनारे पर जमा तेल के फैलाव को साफ करने में लगे हुये हैं। यहाँ पर कई समुद्री कछुए तथा मछलियाँ मृत पायी गई हैं।
- इज़राइल ने यह आरोप एक समुद्री तेलवाहक जहाज ‘एमराल्ड’ के द्वारा तेल फैलाने को लेकर लगाया है। जोकि ईरान से लीबिया की ओर जा रहा था।
- इज़राइल का आरोप है कि तेलवाहक जहाज ने जान-बूझकर उसके समुद्री क्षेत्र मे प्रवेश किया तथा तेल का फैलाव भी किया। इसीलिए इज़राइल ने ईरान को इसके लिए जिम्मेदार ठहराते हुए ईरान पर “पर्यावरण आतंकवाद” का आरोप लगाया है।
- गौरतलब है कि समुद्र में तेल फैलाव पर्यावरण की दृष्टि से एक अत्यंत भयानक स्थिति है जो कि पर्यावरण के लिए बेहद चिंताजनक है।
क्या है पर्यावरणीय आतंकवाद
- पर्यावरणीय आतंकवाद से अभिप्राय राज्यीय या गैर-राज्यीय कर्ताओं द्वारा दुर्भावनापूर्ण किए गए गैरकानूनी कार्यों से होता है; जो पर्यावरणीय संसाधनों को नुकसान पहुंचाते हैं या उन्हें नष्ट करते हैं या दूसरों को उनके उपयोग से वंचित करते हैं।
- ‘पर्यावरणीय आतंकवाद’ वाक्यांश का उपयोग व्यक्तिगत या कॉर्पोरेट लाभ के लिए पर्यावरण के अनावश्यक या अनुचित विनाश के रूप में देखी जाने वाली क्रियाओं को संबोधित करने हेतु भी किया जाता है।
- वर्तमान में प्राकृतिक संसाधनों एवं पर्यावरण संरक्षण को बढ़ावा देने तथा इनके महत्व को स्पष्ट करने हेतु “पर्यावरण आतंकवाद” शब्द का काफी इस्तेमाल हो रहा है।
- यही कारण है कि हाल ही में इज़राइल पर हुए पर्यावरणीय हमले की वैश्विक स्तर पर काफी आलोचना हो रही है।
ईरान-इज़राइल के मध्य संबंध
- पिछले कुछ समय से ईरान व इज़राइल के बीच संबंध वैश्विक समुदाय के लिए चिंता का कारण बने हुये है। जिसके निम्नलिखित कारण हैं-
